এক বছর বা এর অধিক সময় কোনো ধরনের জন্ম নিয়ন্ত্রণ পদ্ধতি ছাড়া গর্ভধারণে ব্যর্থ হলে তাকে ডাক্তারি ভাষায় বন্ধ্যাত্ব হিসেবে সংজ্ঞায়িত করা হয়। সাধারণত প্রতি ১০০ জন দম্পতির মধ্যে ৮৪ জন প্রথম বছরে এবং ৯২ জন দ্বিতীয় বছরের মধ্যে গর্ভধারণ করতে সমর্থ হন। তাই বলা যায়, প্রতি ১০০ জন দম্পতির মধ্যে ৮ জন বন্ধ্যাত্বের শিকার হন।

এক বছর বা এর অধিক সময় কোনো ধরনের জন্ম নিয়ন্ত্রণ পদ্ধতি ছাড়া গর্ভধারণে ব্যর্থ হলে ডাক্তারের পরামর্শ নিতে হবে। তবে বয়স ৩০-এর বেশি থাকলে ছয় মাস চেষ্টার পরই ডাক্তারের শরণাপন্ন হওয়া উচিত।

বন্ধ্যাত্বের কারণ

বন্ধ্যাত্বের বহুবিধ কারণ থাকে। স্বামী বা স্ত্রীর কোন একজন বা উভয়ের ক্ষেত্রে সমস্যা থাকতে পারে। তাছাড়া গর্ভধারনের জন্য দরকার একটি সুস্থ্ ওভাম (ডিম), সবল বীর্য ও নরমাল ইউটেরাস বা জরায়ু। এর যেকোনো জায়গায় সমস্যা হলে গর্ভধারণে ব্যর্থতা দেখা দিতে পারে।

প্রাথমিকভাবে বন্ধাত্ব্যের কারণগুলোকে তিন ভাগে ভাগ করা যেতে পারে। এগুলো হচ্ছে : এনুভলেশন (ডিম্বাশয় থেকে ওভাম বা ডিম নিঃসরণ না হওয়া ), জরায়ু বা ডিম্বনালীর সমস্যা এবং পুরুষ সঙ্গীর সমস্যা।

ওভুলেসন বা ডিম্বস্ফুটন না হওয়ার কিছু কারণগুলো

• পলিসিস্টিক ওভারিয়ান সিনড্রোম

• হরমনের অস্বাভাবিক মাত্রায় নিঃসরণ : কিছু কিছু হরমোন যেমন প্রলেক্টিন, থাইরয়েড হরমোন অথবা পিটুইটারি FSH, LH হরমোনের অস্বাভাবিক মাত্রায় নিঃসরণ ও অভুলেশন ব্যাহত করে।

• ওজন স্বাভাবিকের চেয়ে অনেক বেশি বা কম থাকা।

Description

Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver, usually of viral origin, but it may also be caused by drugs or alcoholism. Hepatitis A is transmitted by contact with contaminated water or food, stool, blood, or secretions.

Hepatitis B is transmitted primarily through blood transfusions or contaminated needles. Hepatitis C occurs mostly after blood transfusions, causing acute hepatitis that may become chronic. Legally it is necessary to call the local health department to report a newly diagnosed case of hepatitis.

 

Symptoms

Overall weakness or discomfort, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, poor appetite, and fever are the main symptoms. Jaundice may be marked, depending on the stage of the hepatitis. Hives and joint pains may also occur.

ü Iodum  - This remedy predominantly acts on the enlargement of the mammary glands which may be either neoplastic or malignant. The mucous membranes of the glands and the breast tissue are inflamed. The breast tissues are hypertrophied, enlarged, hard, and nodular. Emaciation of the patient due to malabsorption. The tumours are well differentiated. They have a discrete capsule. Small lesions present leaf-like intracanalicular protrusions and large lesions have cystic space. Inflammation of the lesions, ulceration occasionally, excoriating, and acrid discharge from the nipple or from the lesion. Oedematous swelling of the affected breast.
